Toddler Tip: Ways Your Toddler Expresses Love

The Ways Your Toddler Expresses Love

As moms, we spend a lot of time showing our kids  love, but do you know all the ways your toddler is showing love to you?!  As we get closer to Mother’s Day, look for the many ways that your toddler shows affection!

Whether chasing you around the house, bringing you a sticky lollipop, showing off a new discovery (dryer lint!), or drawing attention to yogurt covered hands at mealtime - you toddler is showing love.  And even though running away from you with exuberance is a toddler’s way of exerting newly discovered independence, it is only possible because of the trust that you will be there to do the chasing and/or to come back to.  Yes, running away shows love too - you are the secure base allowing your toddler to feel confident in doing so.

This Mother’s Day, enjoy your little ones and look out for the ways that they are saying “I love you!”
