Want to reduce your child’s irritability? Spend at least ten to twenty minutes a day giving your full attention to your child, without the distraction of the phone, computer, or the grocery list! We are often with our children, but sometimes it is hard for us to really be with them, in both mind and body, without distraction. Just ten minutes a day of quiet observation of your child’s activity, or following their lead during play time, or maybe just sitting down with them for meal time, will reduce temper tantrums and fussiness. It’s particularly helpful before transitions like leaving for work, going down for nap time, or getting ready for bath.
