In June, we marveled at the way Jessica Jackley turned her story around. After being asked to leave the TEDWomen conference because her nursing infant was with her, she chose to shine a light on TED's immediate effort to make the situation right and made an impassioned call to action, asking us all to think about how we can make work/life balance a reality.
Today, Jessica shares more about herself in this inspiring (and funny!) parent profile.

The thing I wish someone had told me about parenting before I had kids
I don't believe it's possible to "have it all" - not as a parent, but also not in any other season of life either. But you can happily have so, so much - more than you could have ever imagined - if you know what you want, know what you don't need, and get good at saying "no."
Kids say the darndest things. One of the best things that ever came out of my child's mouth was
Just last week my son Jaspar said, "Hey mama. So, what is that other letter, 'and'? You know the one in the ABC song that comes right before Z. You never showed me that."
The best Halloween costume I ever wore was
For some reason I had a burning desire to be a tube of Aquafresh toothpaste. Bucket w corrugated cardboard on my head as the cap, and basically a big piece of fabric wrapped around my body (w the logo of course) in this cylinder shape. I think I was 11 or 12. I mean, I was really, really cool back then.
The next chapters of my autobiography will read
Hmmm. Hard to say. But there'll be a chapter on "The Art of Being a Human Jungle Gym" (remember, 3 boys). (THREE. BOYS.)
